About Sea Fever Villa

Sea Fever oceanview Villa is situated in the village of La Manzanilla, the gem of Mexico's Costa Alegre (Happy Coast). 5 Kilometres of beautiful sandy beaches, tropical jungle and a lagoon teeming with exotic bird and wildlife make La Manzanilla a natural choice for your Mexican holiday. La Manzanilla is located approximately 25 minutes from Melaque and Barra de Navidad and 1 hour North of Manzanillo International Airport. Puerta Vallarta is approximately 3 hours North.

Our villa offers 3 suites with the option of combining all three suites for family/friends get-togethers and groups for a total of 5 bedrooms. Sea Fever is conveniently located right in the village centre, next to a beach access and has sweeping ocean views.

For your convenience, we have wireless internet installed in the house.

ARRIVING
La Manzanilla is located less than one hour from Manzanillo International Airport (ZLO) which is serviced Alaska Air and WestJet. To get to La Manzanilla, an airport taxi will cost you around $70. There are car rental desks for Hertz, Budget, Thirftys & Alamo. Your best rates are usually obtained by booking ahead. Keep in mind that rates quoted may not include personal liability insurance. Your credit card may offer coverage for collision at no extra cost. You can also fly to Puerta Vallarta which is approx 3.5 hours north and take a bus or rent a car.

BANKING & MONEY
there is one ATM in La Manzanilla that accepts foreign bank cards located by the Police and Delagacion. Credit cards are not accepted at most places. At the Manzanilla airport, there is an ATM to the left of the arrivals gate.

SHOPPING
La Manzanilla has many small corner-store style shops where you will find most of what you need. There is a pharmacy, 2 meat markets, a book store (used english books) fish shops, tortilla shops, fruit & veggie store and several stores selling clothing & beach necessities. If you are looking for food a little more exotic or familiar to home, Super Hawaii in Melaque has a selection of imported foods.

RESTAURANTS
There are a lot of very good restaurants in La Manzanilla ranging from the very popular Taco stand, beachfront seafood restaurants to International fair.

GETTING AROUND
Local buses connect to Melaque, Barra de Navidad & Ciuhuatlan every two hours. There is also taxi service available.

THINGS TO DO IN AND AROUND LA MANZANILLA
Spend some time at the beach and swim in the calm gentle waves. Beach walk to Boca Iguanas at the North end of the beach (approx 1 hour). Boogie board at Boca Iguanas. Take a tour of the lagoon with Immersion Adventures and see the Crocodiles, or rent some kayaks and paddle the bay. Take a fishing adventure with Steve Rutherford. Rent bikes and explore. Cooking lessons at Eileens. Learn Spanish at the language immersion school or take art or dance classes at the Multicultural centre. Take a day trip to Tenacatita and enjoy a wonderful seafood lunch, then snorkel the coral reef. Rent a surfboard in Barra de navidad and catch some waves. Explore some of the remote and deserted beaches north of la Manz, such as El Techuan. Then enjoy a sunset every night.

Resort hotels, bars and nightclubs, supermarkets, paved streets, aggressive souvenir vendors, timeshires, banking.

What you can expect in La Manzanilla
Over 5km of gorgeous sandy beachs, gentle calm ocean for excellent swimming, range of international restaurants, many small corner stores, a real vibrant Mexican village, good beach walking, protected wildlife reserve, sunsets, friendly and helpful local people, a relaxing holiday at a slower pace, great climate.
